Inspired by nature and the world around her, Patti creates her unusual abstract art by exploration to let the creative process flow in the most natural way. Using fluid acrylics in a small dish, Patti creates her unique abstract artworks by drawing in the paint with a variety of tools such as clay sculpting tools, palette knifes, straws, and even a small cocktail fork. Then because the designs are so small (2-3 centimeters) she photographs them using a specialized macro lens. The nature of the process means that the images can only exist as photographs.
